Christine Scheiblich (after marrying Christine Hahn ; born December 31, 1954 in Wilsdruff ) is a former German rower and 1976 Olympic champion in one .

Scheiblich comes from the district of Kesselsdorf von Wilsdruff near Dresden. She started rowing at the age of 13. She trained under Dieter Schubert at SC Einheit Dresden . In 1972 she won the Spartakiad in singles and doubles. In 1974 she won the first of four GDR championship titles in the single, the others followed in 1975, 1977 and 1978. In these years she also won the world championship in the single. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal , women's rowing was on the Olympic program for the first time. Scheiblich won the gold medal in the single with a narrow lead over the American Joan Lind . In 1974 and 1976 she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit.

In 1978 Christine Scheiblich married Ulrich Hahn, multiple world luge champion . Scheiblich had actually trained as a typewriter mechanic, but later became a physiotherapist. She was employed at Einheit Dresden until 1990, after which she became self-employed.
