Frida Linnéa Johanna Svensson (born August 18, 1981 in Falkenberg ) is a former Swedish rower .

Svensson began rowing in 1991. In 1998 she was fifth at the Junior World Championships with the double foursome . In 2002 she won in the U23 World Regatta fourth in one , 2003, she was second behind the German Julia Heitmann. At the World Championships in the adult class she reached 16th place in 2003, and a year later she was eighth at the 2004 Olympic Games . In 2005 she reached the podium in third place at the World Cup in Lucerne, and at the 2005 World Championships she finished fifth. Svensson won her first world championship medal in Eton in 2006 with bronze behind the Belarusian Ekaterina Karsten and the Czech Miroslava Knapková . In 2007 in Munich she experienced a setback with ninth place, at the European Championships 2007 in Poznan, however, she won the bronze medal behind Bulgarian Rumjana Nejkowa and Miroslava Knapková. At the Olympic Regatta 2008 she won the B final and finished seventh in the final bill. In 2009 a ninth place at the World Championships was followed by a fourth place at the European Championships . In 2010 she received the bronze medal behind Karsten and Knapková at the European Championships . She achieved her greatest success at the 2010 World Championships in New Zealand, where she won the gold medal ahead of Karsten. In 2011 she could not defend her title, she finished fifth at the World Championships in Bled. In 2012 she finished tenth at the Olympic Games in London . The following year she was fourth at the 2013 European Championships . After finishing 16th at the 2015 World Championships , she ended her international career.
