Christine Wasterlain

Christine Wasterlain is a former Belgian rower who was runner-up in the European Championship in 1973 and third in the Single World Championship in 1974 .

At the European Championships in 1973 in Moscow, Genovaitė Ramoškienė from the Soviet Union won 0.39 seconds ahead of Christine Wasterlain, who in turn had over six seconds ahead of third-placed Edith Eckbauer from the Federal Republic of Germany. In 1974 competitions for women took place for the first time as part of the world championships . Christine Scheiblich from the GDR won the first single world championship title in Lucerne with a lead of almost six seconds. Behind them Genovaitė Ramoškienė, Christine Wasterlain and Edith Eckbauer reached the goal with a gap of about 0.7 seconds each. Christine Wasterlain took part again in the World Championships in Nottingham in 1975 , but finished only in tenth place.
