World Rowing Championships 2004

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2004 World Rowing Championships were held from July 27th to August 1st, 2004 on Lake Banyoles in Banyoles , Spain under the rules of the World Rowing Federation (FISA). The 14 Olympic boat classes were not held because of the Olympic rowing regatta in Athens in 2004, so that the rowing world champions were only determined in 9 non-Olympic boat classes . Because of the small registration field, the world championships were organized together with those of the juniors . 332 athletes in 114 teams from 39 nations took part in the competition.
