Marcello Miani

Marcello Miani (* 5. March 1984 in Faenza ) is a former Italian lightweight - rowers , the 2010 and 2014 World Champion in the lightweight one was.

Career

Miani started rowing in 1997. At the Junior World Championships in 2002 he won the title with the Italian double foursome. In 2003 Miani made his debut in the World Cup with two eleventh places in the lightweight single. At the U-23 World Championships in 2003 he won silver with the lightweight quadruple scull. In 2004 he won the lightweight quadruple scull in the adult class at both the World Cup in Lucerne and the World Championships in Banyoles . At the end of the season he still won the title in the one at the U23 World Championships. In 2005, Miani concentrated entirely on the one, he finished fifth in the World Cup twice, came fourth in the U23 World Championships and finished eleventh at the 2005 World Championships .
