Daniele Danesin (* 7. December 1985 in Como ) is a former Italian lightweight - rowers .

Career

Danesin 2004 Bronze won in the U23 World Championships in lightweight sculls . In 2005 he won the rowing World Cup in Lucerne with the Italian lightweight eighth , and the Italian eighth also won the 2005 World Championships in Gifu . In 2006 Danesin and Marcello Miani rowed in lightweight double sculls to second place at the U23 World Championships . Five weeks later Danesin won his second title in the adult class in the lightweight quadruple at the World Championships in Eton . In 2007 Danesin won with the lightweight double scull at both the U23 World Championships and the World Championships in Munich . At the 2008 World Championships in Linz , Danesin won for the third time in a row with the Italian lightweight double scull.

In 2010 Daniele Danesin rowed in the Italian lightweight four without a helmsman . After finishing fourth at the European Championships , the four-man finished sixth at the World Championships . In 2011 Danesin, Andrea Caianiello , Marcello Miani and Martino Goretti lost only to the Australians in the final of the World Championships . At the European Championships, the Italians won ahead of the Czech and Serbian boats. The runner-up in 2011 also meant qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games in London , where the Italian four-man finished twelfth in the unchanged line-up compared to the previous year.
