Florian Roller

Florian Roller (* 16th November 1992 in Stuttgart ) is a German lightweight - rowers .

Roller started in 2010 for the Stuttgart rowing company from 1899 . In 2009 he started for the Marbach rowing club and until 2009 for the Stuttgart-Cannstatter rowing club .

In 2013, Roller won bronze in the lightweight double scull at the U23 World Championships in Linz-Ottenheim . The following year he finished fourth in the same boat class at the junior world championships. He then switched to the light belt sector for one season and won the gold medal at the 2015 World Championships on Lac d ' Aiguebelette in France with the lightweight eighth (LM8 +) together with Tobias Schad , Simon Barr , Torben Neumann , Tobias Franzmann , Stefan Wallat , Claas Mertens , Can Temel , and Felix Heinemann .

At the 2016 World Championships in Rotterdam, he won the gold medal in the lightweight double scull (LM4x) together with Johannes Ursprung , Cedric Kuhlbach and Patrik Stöcker . They left last year's world champion from France and the world record holder from Greece behind. After a break from competition in 2017, Roller rowed again internationally in the lightweight quad scull in 2018. At the 2018 World Championships in Plovdiv he again won the world championship title together with Joachim Agne , Max Röger and Moritz Moos .

At the beginning of 2018, Roller was able to improve the world record in indoor rowing over 30 minutes in the lightweight men's 19-29 class .
