doping
Wolfgang Sigl, Raphael Hartl and their trainer Martin Kessler were banned for one, two and four years retrospectively in February 2014 for blood doping. The athletes were suspected of blood doping in the course of the so-called "human plasma doping affair", which Kessler also confirmed. After the trio was acquitted by the NADA Legal Commission in September 2013, the Independent Arbitration Commission revoked the judgment in the second instance. The start of the bans was set retrospectively to March 1, 2006, so that at the time of the judgment all sanctions had already expired.
