Lars Wichert (* 28. November 1986 in Berlin ) is a German lightweight - rowers .

Wichert began his competitive career at Spandauer RC Friesen and then moved to the rowing club Allemannia from 1866 in Hamburg.

At the 2009 World Rowing Championships he won the silver medal in the lightweight quadruple sculls. The following year he reached the finals at the World Championships on Lake Karapiro in New Zealand in three lightweight boat classes: He won gold in eight and four-four and finished fifth with Daniel Wisgott in two without helmsman. In 2011 Wichert won the German championship title in the lightweight four without a helmsman together with Bastian Seibt and the brothers Jochen and Martin Kühner . At the 2011 World Championships , he and Bastian Seibt won the bronze medal in the uncontrolled two-man. In 2012, Wichert finished ninth in a foursome at the Olympic Games and won the title at the world championships in the non-Olympic boat classes in eighth .

In the next few years Wichert rowed in a foursome, but only achieved a placement in the A final with fifth place at the 2014 European Championships . In 2016, Wichert competed in the lightweight foursome with Jonathan Koch , Lucas Schäfer and Tobias Franzmann . At the European Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel , this four-man won the bronze medal behind the Swiss and the British. Three months later, the four finished ninth at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
