Tobias Franzmann

Tobias Franz man (* 8. December 1990 in Saarbrücken ) is a German lightweight - rowers . His greatest successes are two victories at the world championships in 2014 and 2015 in the lightweight eighth .

In 2010 Tobias Franzmann won the German championship title in the lightweight four without a helmsman with Jost Schömann-Finck and the brothers Jochen and Martin Kühner . At the U23 World Championships in 2011, Franzmann finished fourth with the lightweight four-man, and the following year he and Can Temel won the bronze medal in the lightweight two-man without a helmsman . In 2013 Franzmann, Stefan Wallat , Daniel Wisgott and Lasse Antczak won the title in four at the 2013 Summer Universiade .

In the adult class, Franzmann and Temel won the 2014 World Championships with the lightweight eight. A year later, the German eight with Franzmann defended his title from the previous year. At the 2015 Summer Universiade , Franzmann, Stefan Wallat, Torben Neumann and Can Temel took second place in the lightweight foursome. In 2016 Franzmann competed in the lightweight foursome together with Jonathan Koch , Lucas Schäfer and Lars Wichert . At the European Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel , this four-man won the bronze medal behind the Swiss and the British. Three months later, the four finished ninth at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .

The 1.82 m tall Tobias Franzmann studies in Hamburg, but starts for the Saarbrücken rowing club .
