Robby Gerhardt

Robby Gerhardt (* 10. April 1987 in Grossroehrsdorf ) is a former German lightweight - rowers . His greatest achievement was winning the gold medal in the lightweight eighth at the 2010 World Rowing Championships .

From 2007 to 2009 Gerhardt took part in the U23 World Championships three times in a row in the lightweight four-man without a helmsman . In 2008 he was U23 vice world champion, in 2009 he won gold, trained by Martin Strohmenger, with Daniel Wisgott , Jan Lüke and Simon Berghofer. In the open age group, he rowed for the first time at the European Rowing Championships in Athens in 2008 , where he finished 10th in the lightweight four without a helmsman. Two years later he was a team member of the lightweight eight at the World Championships in New Zealandcould win the gold medal. Gerhard then tried to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, but could no longer qualify for selection boats of the German Rowing Association . After participating in the Rowing World Cup in 2011 and 2012, he ended his active career.

Gerhardt rowed together with Daniel Wisgott from 2009 , his club is the RC Germania Düsseldorf .
