Daniel Wisgott

Daniel Wisgott (born February 13, 1988 in Essen ) is an active German lightweight rower . His greatest successes are two victories at the 2010 and 2014 World Rowing Championships in the lightweight eighth .

In 2009 Wisgott, trained by Martin Strohmenger, Robby Gerhardt , Jan Lüke and Simon Berghofer, became U23 world champion in the lightweight four-man team. In the following year he started with Lars Wichert in the lightweight two-man without a helmsman at the World Championships in Lake Karapiro, in the final they finished fifth. They also became world champions in the lightweight eight. 2013 Wisgott won together with Tobias Franzmann , Stefan Wallat and Lasse Antczak in the lightweight foursome at the Universiade in Kazan . As in 2010, he won the eighth title at the 2014 World Championships.

Wisgott rowed together with Robby Gerhardt since 2009 , his club is the rowing team ETUF Essen .
