Lucas Shepherd (* 15. August 1994 in Marburg ) is a German lightweight - rowers .

At the U23 World Championships in 2014, Schäfer took fourth place in the lightweight four without a helmsman , and in 2015 he won the silver medal together with Felix Brummel, Sven Ditzel and Alexander Kevin Diedrich. In 2016, Schäfer together with Jonathan Koch , Tobias Franzmann and Lars Wichert won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel behind the Swiss and the British. Shortly afterwards, the lightweight foursome qualified in Lucerne to take part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . Three months later, the four finished ninth at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .

The 1.87 m tall Lucas Schäfer started rowing in Marburg, he starts for rowing and sport Steinmühle Marburg e. V. and studies ecotrophology at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . Until the end of 2010 he rowed for the Marburg rowing club from 1911 , from summer 2010 also at the rowing club Germania Düsseldorf with the local trainer Martin Strohmenger. Since 2013 he started as a former student of the Steinmühle school home for his current club.
