The Caribbean Cup 2014 was the 17th edition of the soccer Caribbean championship . The competition began with the first round of qualification on May 30, 2014. The final round took place in Jamaica from November 11th to 18th .

The four best teams in this tournament qualified for the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015 . In addition to the winner Jamaica , these were Trinidad and Tobago , Haiti and Cuba . The winner of the tournament also qualified for the Copa América Centenario 2016 .

Venue

All games took place at the Montego Bay Sports Complex in Montego Bay , the largest city in the Saint James district .

qualification

A total of 25 teams had registered for the competition. Defending champions Cuba and hosts Jamaica were seeded for the finals without qualifying. The remaining 24 teams identified six further final tournament participants in a preliminary qualification in two pre-qualification groups (groups 1 and 2), four first-round groups (groups 3 to 6) and three second-round groups (groups 7 to 9). All were members of the Caribbean Football Union , a regional subsidiary of CONCACAF .
