The national football team of Martinique is the national team of the French overseas department of Martinique . Martinique is not a member of the world football association FIFA and therefore does not take part in qualifying matches for football world championships . As a member of the CONCACAF regional association , you take part in the qualifying games for the CONCACAF Gold Cup .
history
At the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2002, the team made it to the quarter-finals, where they lost to Canada on penalties. In 1993, the team was able through a 6: 5 n E. against. Jamaica , the Caribbean Cup win.
At the Coupe de l'Outre-Mer , which was held for the first time in the greater Paris area in 2008 and was attended by seven national teams from the French overseas possessions , Martinique advanced to the final, in which they lost 1-0 to Réunion . In 2010 Martinique won the tournament; in the final, the team played again against Réunion.
