participant
qualification
As in the 2019 tournament , no regional qualifying competitions were held. The group stage of the CONCACAF Nations League 2019/20 served as qualification . The two best from each of the four groups in League A and the respective group winners from League B qualified directly for the tournament. The remaining four participants were to be determined through two play-off rounds with a return leg . The group winners from League C, the runners-up from League B and the bottom of the group from League A should take part in these. Since the planned games in March and June 2020 could not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the scheduling difficulties due to the changed World Cup qualification in 2022 , the games finally took place in the week before the start of the finals in a central location in the United States instead of. The Inter Miami Stadium in Fort Lauderdale served as the venue for all games .
