The 1989 CONCACAF Nations Cup was the tenth game of the continental football championship for North Central America and the Caribbean and took place from March 19 to November 19. As in 1985 , the competition was played back and forth without a host country and was also considered to qualify for the World Cup for the fifth time in a row .
