The CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015 was the 23rd game of the continental football championship for North Central America and the Caribbean and the 13th under the name "Gold Cup". It took place from July 7th to 26th in the United States and Canada . Twelve national teams took part in the tournament, initially in groups and then in a knockout system .

Tournament winner Mexico played against the USA , the 2013 Gold Cup winner , in a play-off for participation in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia , which Mexico won after extra time. If the USA had won the Gold Cup in 2015 as well, the Confed Cup playoff would have been canceled. In addition to Costa Rica, Jamaica, the USA and Mexico, two other participants also qualified for the Copa América Centenario 2016 , which also took place in the USA.
