The Lincoln Financial Field is an American football - stadium in the US city of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania . It is owned by the City of Philadelphia and administered by the NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles , which play their home games there. In the stands it offers 69,176 seats, of which 3,040 are VIP seats in 172 boxes and 10,828 business seats.
history
Lincoln Financial Field was built to replace the 1971 Veterans Stadium . The design comes from NBBJ in collaboration with Studio Agoos Lovera. The plans were implemented by the construction company Turner Construction . Construction began in May 2001 and is located in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex . West of the stadium is the multi-purpose hall Wells Fargo Center , in which the Philadelphia 76ers and the Philadelphia Flyers play, which is north ballpark Citizens Bank Park the Philadelphia Phillies to find.
