NFL International Series
The NFL International Series consists of regular season games of the National Football League (NFL) outside the United States .
history
The series began in 2005 with the game of the Arizona Cardinals against the San Francisco 49ers on October 2, 2005 in the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City . Since the 2007 season there has been a game in London every year . There were two games in the 2013 season . Three games are scheduled in London for the 2015 season . After 2013, the Jacksonville Jaguars will each play a season game in London for the next three years. In 2016, the Twickenham Stadium was added as an additional venue, where three games were played until 2017. On February 5, 2016, the second game in Mexico City was announced for November 2016. 2017 saw the first four games in London, two each at Wembley Stadium and two at Twickenham Stadium. In addition, the third game in the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City was scheduled for November 2017.
At the end of October 2018, the NFL confirmed that four games will be played in London in the 2019 season . Two games will take place at Wembley Stadium and two at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium . Another game will take place in the Aztec Stadium.
