The Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol (Central American Football Union), better known under the acronym UNCAF , is an amalgamation of the Central American Football Associations of Belize , Costa Rica , El Salvador , Guatemala , Honduras , Nicaragua and Panama . All associations are also members of the umbrella organization CONCACAF .
The UNCAF takes care of the organization of various football competitions, which mainly serve as qualifying tournaments for the CONCACAF competitions. The most important competition at the national team level is the Copa Centroamericana , which serves as a qualifying tournament for the CONCACAF Gold Cup .
At club level, the Copa Interclubes UNCAF was held until 2007 , in which the Central American representatives for the CONCACAF Champions Cup were determined. The last winner was CD Motagua from Honduras. Since then there has been no club competition within the UNCAF. The teams from the member countries are directly qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League according to fixed quotas .
