The Federación Costarricense de Fútbol (FEDEFUTBOL) is the national football association of Costa Rica . The current president is Rodolfo Villalobos, elected in August 2015 to succeed Eduardo Li Sánchez, who was arrested on charges of corruption . All football competitions are organized by the associations subordinate to FEDEFUTBOL: UNAFUT (1st league, professional; 1st youth league), LIFUSE (2nd league, semi-professional ), LINAFA (3rd - 5th league; youth from 2nd league) and ADELIFFE (women's football ) organized. The national beach soccer championship is organized by ADEFUPLA , the futsal championship by LIFUTSAL . The Fedefutbol is responsible for appointing the referees, the FEDEFUTBOL sports court is responsible for all leagues.
