Eduardo Li Sánchez
Eduardo Li Sánchez (born November 11, 1958 in Puntarenas ) is a football official from Costa Rica .
Li Sánchez founded the football club Puntarenas FC with Adrián Castro in 2004 .
Li Sánchez was President of the National Football Association of Costa Rica (FEDEFUTBOL) and a member of the CONCACAF Executive Committee until 2015 . He was elected to the FIFA Executive Committee at the CONCACAF Congress in April 2015 , but his arrest prevented him from being appointed by the FIFA Congress.
At the instigation of the US judicial authorities, which are in charge of investigating corruption cases at FIFA , he and five other FIFA officials were arrested on May 27, 2015 at the Baur au Lac Hotel in Zurich . On December 18, 2015, Li Sanchez was extradited to the United States.
