Jesús Manuel Corona Ruíz (born January 6, 1993 in Hermosillo ) is a Mexican football player . He currently plays as a midfielder for FC Porto in Portugal . His nickname is "El Tecatito".

Club career

Corona began his career in Mexico at CF Monterrey , where he was considered a promising young football talent. He made his debut in the club's senior team on August 7, 2010 in a game against CF Atlante with a 2-1 win for Monterrey. He scored his first goal against UAG Tecos in October 2011.

In the summer of 2013 he moved to the Dutch club FC Twente Enschede , although apparently Borussia Dortmund , Juventus Turin and FC Porto were also interested in signing Corona.

On August 31, 2015, he moved to the Portuguese Primeira Liga for FC Porto , with whom he won the Portuguese football championship in the 2017/18 season.
