Alex Nicolao Telles (born December 15, 1992 in Caxias do Sul ) is a Brazilian soccer player who is under contract with FC Porto .

Career

Alex Telles made his debut as a player at EC Juventude on January 24, 2011 against Esporte Clube São José . Telles scored his first competitive goal on August 20, 2011 against Esporte Clube Cruzeiro . In January 2013, the full-back moved to Gremio Porto Alegre and immediately became a regular player. After his first season, he was runner-up in the Série A with Grêmio . Telles played 34 games and scored one goal and was named the best left full-back of the 2013 season.

In January 2014, Alex Telles moved to the traditional Turkish club Galatasaray Istanbul for a transfer of 6,150,000 million euros . He had signed a 4.5 year contract with Galatasaray and earned 1.4 million in the 1st year, 1.5 million in the 2nd year, 1.6 million in the 3rd year, 1.7 million in the 4th year. In addition, the player should receive a bonus of 150,000 euros for 15 official games and 250,000 euros for a whole season.

Telles scored his first goal for Galatasaray on March 8, 2014 against Akhisar Belediyespor . Galatasaray signed Telles with the hope of having found a long-term solution for the left-back's rather problematic position. In this position, Telles fell short of expectations both in the opinion of the Turkish trade press and fans. So he was repeatedly brought into connection with other European teams. On the last day of the 2015 summer transfer period, he was loaned to Inter Milan , where Roberto Mancini Melos, former coach at Galatasaray, was loaned. The Lombards paid a rental fee of 1.55 million euros for Telles, with the fixed transfer fee being estimated at 8.5 million euros. With him, his Brazilian team-mate Felipe Melo was also handed over to Inter Milan.

Inter Milan had no further interest in Telles after the season. He then moved to Portugal to FC Porto . Porto paid a transfer fee of 6.5 million euros for the full-back.

National team

In March 2019, national coach Tite Telles nominated for the first time for the A selection . He replaces the injured Filipe Luís and will be in the squad for the international matches against Panama and the Czech Republic on March 23 and 26. Telles made his first appearance on March 23 in the game against Panama, in which he was in the starting line-up.
