Mauricio Claudio Rosal

Mauricio Claudio Rosal (born December 23, 1912 , † 1975 ) was a Guatemalan diplomat .

Life

Mauricio Claudio Rosal was married to Marta Carías del Rosal, the daughter of Tiburcio Carías Andino . In 1934 he became Legation Secretary in Guatemala City . A few years later he represented his father-in-law until April 28, 1938, initially as consul in Berlin and from July 6 to 15, 1938 as envoy extraordinary and ministerial plénipotentiaire at the conference of Évian . He was then appointed consul in Paris and Vichy himself . Albert Caraco claimed that his family obtained visas from Rosal. In 1944 Rosal was a signatory of the Manifiestos del Comité Liberal Demócrata de Honduras en México against Tiburcio Carías Andino. From 1959 he was deployed as Guatemalan ambassador in Brussels , The Hague and Luxembourg .

On October 3, 1960, John F. Kennedy International Airport included 30 kilograms of his 90 kilograms of luggage, which, in the opinion of a court, was not diplomatic luggage , but was described in the standard agreement on narcotics . He was then accused in a trial with Etienne Tarditi (born October 18, 1904 in Corsica , † March 4, 1986).
