The company opened its first drive-in counter in 1952 and began its traffic education program in high schools the following year . From 1954 fire protection insurance for properties was also offered and in 1959, for the first time, a large insurer granted discounts on premiums for the purchase of compact cars. This year, Allstate already received US $ 438.6 million in premiums from over 5.3 million policies and employed 14,633 people.

After Allstate had also offered its services in Canada since 1950, the Allstate Insurance Company of Canada and Allstate Life Insurance Company of Canada were founded as subsidiaries in 1964 . In 1967, the headquarters was Skokie ( Illinois ) to Northbrook (Illinois) laid. Starting in 1968, Allstate began working with the government on road safety issues, supporting compulsory seatbelt wear and the introduction of airbags . At the end of the decade, Allstate had 11.4 million policies with a premium volume of US $ 1.48 billion and employed over 30,000 people.

Mopeds and motorcycles from the Austrian Puch works were also sold under this brand name . But Allstate was not itself a vehicle manufacturer.
