Philosopher (Engl. Philosopher ) is a death metal band from Chemnitz (Germany).

history

Philosopher was founded in 2003. In the same year a self-titled demo was released . In February 2004 Mike Seifert started as a singer. In 2004 the EP What Dwells Beyond was released . The debut album Thoughts followed in 2005 on Ruptured Silence Records. It was the independent label's first release . In 2006 the EP Laws ov Form was released.

style

Philosopher is influenced by American old school death metal , which is played mostly slowly. Sources of inspiration are Morbid Angel and Death . In their texts they deal with the works of the US writer HP Lovecraft . Musically, too, you try to capture the atmosphere of your works.
