The 1963 CONCACAF Nations Cup was the first game of a continental football championship for North, Central America and the Caribbean and took place in El Salvador from March 23 to April 7 . It was played in San Salvador at the Estadio Cuscatlán (39,000) and in Santa Ana at the Estadio Oscar Quiteño (15,000). The nine participants were divided into two groups, the two best placed went into the second group phase, where the first CONCACAF champion was determined in a simple round of each against each.
qualification
All games took place in Kingston ( Jamaica ) as part of the "SEAGA Cup" . It is not known whether Jamaica's games at this tournament also served to qualify for the Nations Cup.
