Carlos Salcedo (born September 29, 1993 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ), also known by the nickname El Titán , is a Mexican football player . The central defender has been playing for Mexican first division club UANL Tigres since January 2019 .
Career
societies
Salcedo received his first professional contract with the Major League Soccer -Club Real Salt Lake , with whose team he in 2013 both the finals to the championship in a cup competition reached, but lost in both cases. For the 2015 Clausura Salcedo moved to Deportivo Guadalajara , where he immediately reached the final of the Mexican Cup competition , but lost again. Together with his teammate Marco Fabián , Salcedo was the first Mexican DFB Cup winner.
During the winter break of the 2018/19 Bundesliga season , Salcedo returned to his homeland and joined his youth club, the Mexican first division club UANL Tigres .
National team
Salcedo made his debut for the Mexican national team in an international match against the USA on April 15, 2015 , which was lost 2-0. At the Copa América 2015 he was used in the second group match against Chile (3: 3), in which he came on for Adrián Aldrete around 20 minutes before the end . In August 2016, Salcedo took part with the Mexican Olympic team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and failed with his team in the preliminary round.
