Salt sauna

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A salt sauna is a sauna in which the walls are partially or completely covered with salt stones. Himalayan salt is often used as a salt stone . The sauna benches are made of wood. In the salt sauna there are mild temperatures of 60 ° C to 65 ° C and the humidity is around 15%. The salt sauna is therefore also suitable for people with circulatory problems. The salty air in the salt sauna has a positive effect on the airways . In addition, the heating of the salt stones creates negatively charged ions , which are said to have an inhibiting effect on bacteria and viruses.
