Kellyn Kai Perry-Acosta (born July 24, 1995 in Plano , Texas ) is an American football player who currently plays for FC Dallas in Major League Soccer .
Career
FC Dallas
Acosta played for the Dallas FC academy before signing a contract in July 2012 (although he was not eligible until 2013). He played three games in the Reserves League and was named Player of the 2011–12 Season of the US Soccer Development Academy Central Conference .
He made his first-team debut in the 3-0 loss to Seattle Sounders FC in August 2013 .
National team
Acosta took in 2011 with 17 U Pick US at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico . In 2013 he was nominated for the U-20 selection and was part of the squad for the 2013 U-20 World Cup . He was the youngest player in the US at the time. In 2015 he took part in the CONCACAF U-20 championship with the U-20 team.
On January 31, 2016, he made his debut for the United States national soccer team .
