Erick Gabriel Gutiérrez Galaviz (born June 15, 1995 in Ahome , Sinaloa ) is a Mexican football player who predominantly acts in midfield . He has been under contract with the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven since August 2018 .

Gutiérrez comes from the youth department of CF Pachuca , where he also received his first professional contract .

For the first team of the Tuzos , he was used for the first time in a cup game played on September 25, 2013 at the Tiburones Rojos Veracruz (1: 4). He made his debut in the Mexican league on October 26, 2013 in a home game against the CD Cruz Azul , which ended goalless. Still in the service of CF Pachuca, he won the Mexican championship title with the Tuzos in the 2016 Clausura . At the age of 20 Gutíerrez was appointed captain of Pachucas.

On August 30, 2018, he moved to the top Dutch club PSV Eindhoven . In Eindhoven he meets his compatriot Hirving Lozano , with whom he played at Pachuca until summer 2017.

National team

In 2015 Gutiérrez played all three games of the Mexican U-20 national team , which they played at the U-20 World Cup in 2015 , when "El Tri" was eliminated after the preliminary round.

In 2016, Guzmán was part of the squad of the Mexican U-23 team , which represented Mexico at the Olympic football tournament and also had to leave after the preliminary round.

On October 12, 2016 Gutiérrez played for the first time for the Mexican national team in a friendly against Panama (1-0) .
