The Bertodano Bay (in Argentina Bahía López de Bertodano , in Chile Bahía Venturini ) is a bay in the north of the Seymour Island off the north east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between Bodman Point and Cape Wiman .
The bay's name appears for the first time on an Argentine map from 1957. It is named after Juan López de Bertodano (1871–1932), chief engineer of the Uruguay corvette in 1903 during the rescue of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under Otto Nordenskjöld . The name giver of the Chilean name is Arturo Venturini Ramírez, hydrograph on the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947-1948).
