Bodman Point is a rocky headland in the center of the northwest coast of Seymour Island off the north east coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It forms the south-western boundary of the entrance to Bertodano Bay .
It was first measured during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903). Their expedition leader Otto Nordenskjöld named it as Cape Bodman after Gösta Bodman (1875-1960), hydrograph of this research trip . The Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey corrected this designation after a new survey in 1952, as the formation more like a headland than a cape .
