Michal Sadílek (born May 31, 1999 in Uherské Hradiště ) is a Czech football player who is currently under contract with the honorary division PSV Eindhoven . The midfielder is a Czech U21 international .

Career

Sadílek started playing football at 1. FC Slovácko . In September 2015 he joined the youth department of PSV Eindhoven , after having previously completed trial training at Juventus Turin and Feyenoord Rotterdam . For the 2016/17 season he was promoted to the reserve team, but was initially still active in the U19 team. He made his debut in the second-highest Dutch division on November 4, 2016 in the 0-1 away defeat against Helmond Sport . This mission remained his only one this season, while he completed 34 competitive games for the U19s. In the next 2017/18 season he only made two appearances as a substitute for the reserve.

After good performances in the UEFA Youth League 2018/19 for the U19s and for Jong PSV in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie 2018/19 , coach Mark van Bommel also considered him for the first time for matchday squads of the first team. He played his first game for van Bommel's team on September 26 in a 4-0 away win in the KNVB Cup against Excelsior Maassluis . On December 7, 2018 (15th matchday), he made his Eredivisie debut in a 6-0 home win against Excelsior Rotterdam when he came on for Jorrit Hendrix in the 78th minute . In his second outing on December 22nd (17th matchday) in a 3-1 home win against AZ Alkmaar , he scored for the first time. At the end of the season he made it into the starting line-up. In total, he came to eleven league appearances this season, in which he was able to score a goal. Due to injuries and the shortened league championship, Sadílek only played 14 league games in the following 2019/20 season, in which he scored one goal and two assists.

National team

Sadílek represented his home country for the first time in the U16 , for which he came to five missions in May 2014. He then played for the U17 team with which he took part in the 2015 U17 European Championship in Bulgaria . Between 2014 and 2016 he played 30 times for the U17s and scored nine times in them. In June he took with U18 in a tournament in Portugal , where he was able to score a goal in three games.

Since September 2016 he played for the Czech U19 national team and took part in the 2017 U19 European Championship in Georgia . By March 2018 he had 29 missions in which he was able to collect four hits. Between September and October 2018, he made five appearances in the U20 .

He has been playing for the U21s since March 2019 .
