The Bahamian national soccer team is the national soccer team of the Caribbean island state of Bahamas . It is one of the weakest teams in the continental association CONCACAF . So far, the team has not yet managed to qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup or the World Cup.
Tournaments
World Championship
- 1930 to 1994 - did not participate
- 1998 - withdrawn
- 2002 - In qualifying for the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea , they beat the team from Anguilla 3-1 and 2-1 in the first round of Caribbean zone 3 , but failed in the semi-finals with 9-0 and 4-0 Haiti .
- 2006 - In qualifying for the 2006 World Cup in Germany , the team was eliminated in the first round in March 2004 with 1: 1 and 1: 3 against the team from Dominica .
- 2010 - As part of the qualification for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa , the team met the British Virgin Islands national team in the first round of the CONCACAF zone . The first leg ended 1: 1. In the second leg, the team reached a 2-2 draw. Both games took place in Nassau, Bahamas. Due to the higher number of away goals, the Bahamas were able to move into the second round. There they were eliminated with two clear defeats (0: 6 at home and 0: 7 in the away game) against Jamaica .
- 2014 - In the first CONCACAF preliminary round for World Cup qualification for the 2014 tournament in Brazil , the team prevailed 4-0 and 6-0 against the team from the Turks and Caicos Islands . This allowed you to qualify for the second round, from which you withdrew in August 2011.
- 2018 - In qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia , the team was eliminated in the first round in March 2015 with 0: 5 and 0: 3 against the Bermuda team .
