Rasmus Quist Hansen Nicolai (* 5. April 1980 in Middelfart ) is a Danish rower and Olympic champion in 2012 in lightweight - double sculls .

Athletic career

In 1997 Quist won bronze in a quadruple scull at the Junior World Championships . In 1999 he competed for the first time in the World Cup in the adult class and took second place in Vienna with the Danish lightweight quadruple. At the 1999 World Rowing Championships , the Danish boat reached fifth place, just like a year later in Zagreb. In 2001 he competed for the first time with Mads Rasmussen in the lightweight double scull, and at the 2001 World Rowing Championships the two finished sixth.
