John Richard Keating

John Richard Keating (born July 20, 1934 in Chicago , Illinois , † March 22, 1998 ) was an American clergyman and bishop of Arlington .

Life

John Richard Keating received on 20 December 1958, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 7, 1983, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Arlington. The Apostolic Delegate to the United States, Archbishop Pio Laghi , ordained him episcopally on August 4 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Great Falls , Thomas Joseph Murphy , and the Bishop of Allentown , Thomas Jerome Welsh .
