Darcy Marquardt

Darcy Marquardt (born March 22, 1979 in Vancouver ) is a former Canadian rower .

The 1.82 meter tall Marquardt rowed for the Victoria Vikes , the University of Victoria's sports club . Marquardt won her first world championship medal in 2002 and her first Olympic medal in 2012. In 2006 she won her first World Cup regatta in Munich without a helmsman, in the same year she became world champion together with Jane Thornton . After the two did not reach the World Cup final in Munich in 2007 , they switched to the Canadian eighth for the 2008 Olympic Games. In 2012, Marquardt rowed her second World Cup victory with eighth in Munich.
