Christine Gossé

Christine Gossé (born October 26, 1964 in Offenburg ) is a former French rower who won an Olympic bronze medal in 1996.

Career

Christine Gossé occupied at the Junior World Championships in 1981 to fourth place in the quadruple sculls , 1982, she won the silver medal in this boat class. At the age of 19 she reached the final of the 1984 Olympic Games with the double foursome and finished fifth. The French double scull also finished fifth at the 1986 World Championships . At her second Olympic participation in 1988 in Seoul , Gossé finished tenth with the double foursome.

In 1990, the 1.80 m tall rower reached seventh place in the four without helmsman at the World Championships in Tasmania . In 1991 she switched to the two without helmsman and took fourth place in this boat class at the World Championships in Vienna . At the Olympic Games in 1992 she also reached fourth place together with Isabelle Daniou .

In 1993, Hélène Cortin joined Christine Gossé in a pair, the two won the title at the 1993 and 1994 World Championships . In 1993 the Australians Alison Davies and Victoria Toogood finished second, in 1994 the Australians Carmen Klomp-Wearne and Anna Ozolins received the bronze medal behind the Romanian two .
