Hélène Cortin
Hélène Cortin (born February 7, 1972 in Dunkerque ) is a former French rower who won an Olympic bronze medal in 1996.
Hélène Cortin, who started for Sporting Dunkerquois , won the silver medal with the French eighth at the Junior World Championships in 1989 and 1990 . At the 1991 World Championships , the 1.86 m tall Cortin competed in the adult class for the first time and started in two boat classes. With the four without a helmsman , she finished seventh, with the eighth she reached sixth. At the Olympic Games in 1992 , she only competed with the foursome and finished in seventh place.
1993 Hélène Cortin moved to Christine Gossé in the two without helmsman , the two won the title at the World Championships in 1993 in the Czech Račice u Štětí and in 1994 in Indianapolis. After Gossé won the bronze medal with Celine Cuisant-Garcia in 1995 , Cortin returned to the two in 1996. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, the Australians Kate Slatter and Megan Still won ahead of the US two, two seconds behind Christine Gossé and Hélène Cortin won the bronze medal.
