Janine Hanson

Janine Hanson (born December 14, 1982 in La Mesa California ) is a Canadian rower .

The 1.78 meter tall Hanson was born in California and grew up in Winnipeg , she is a member of the Winnipeg Rowing Club . But she lives and trains in London , Ontario . Hanson graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Movement Science .

Hanson began rowing in the Canada Summer Games in 2000 . Only after graduating in 2007 did she appear internationally. It began as Skull -Ruderin and moved to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where she finished eighth with the quadruple sculls, the belt rudders. With the Canadian eight, she won the silver medal behind the boat from the USA at the World Championships in 2010 and 2011, just like at the 2012 Olympic Games. In the absence of the US rowers, Hanson rowed her only World Cup victory in 2012 with the eight in Munich.
