Rachelle Viinberg

Rachelle Viinberg (* as Rachelle De Jong April 30, 1979 in Nanaimo ) is a Canadian rower .

The 1.83-meter tall Viinberg rows for the Victoria Vikes , the University of Victoria's sports club , where she earned a degree in biology. Before that she was a member of the Western Rowing Club in London and the Regina Rowing Club . Viinberg won her first world championship medal in 2002 and her first Olympic medal in 2012. From 2005 to 2008 she was a Skull actively -Ruderin, before and after the belt -Ruderin. At the 2008 Olympic Games , she finished eighth with the Canadian double scull. In 2012 Viinberg rowed her only World Cup victory with eighth in Munich.

By 2010 it started under the name Rachelle De Jong.
