Dorota Urbaniak
Dorota Urbaniak (born May 6, 1972 in Łask , Poland ) is a Canadian rower of Polish descent who won an Olympic medal and three world championship medals.
Urbaniak moved into Canadian eighth in 1997, which was recomposed after winning the 1996 Olympic silver medal. At the 1997 World Championships, as in 1996, the Romanians won ahead of the Canadians. In 1998 and 1999, the Canadian eighth won the bronze medal behind the Romanians and the Americans. In their only Olympic participation in 2000, Urbaniak finished third behind the Romanians and the Dutch in Sydney. At the rowing world championships in 2002 Urbaniak reached sixth place again with the Canadian eighth.
The 1.78 m tall Dorota Urbaniak rowed for the Argonaut Rowing Club in Toronto .
