Heather Davis

Heather Davis (born February 26, 1974 in Vancouver ) is a former Canadian rower who won the Olympic bronze medal in eighth place in 2000 .

The 1.77 m tall Heather Davis finished fifth at the 1996 World Championships in the foursome without a helmsman . Two years later she won bronze at the 1998 World Championships in Cologne with eighth in the line-up Buffy-Lynne Alexander , Laryssa Biesenthal , Heather Davis, Alison Korn , Marnie McBean , Emma Robinson , Dorota Urbaniak , Kubet Weston and helmsman Lesley Thompson . In 1999 Davis finished eighth in the World Cup, third place in Vienna and Lucerne. At the 1999 World Championships on her home track in St. Catharines , she started in a foursome without a helmsman and came in fifth. In 2000, she returned to eighth place, who finished sixth in Vienna, but came second behind the Romanians at the World Cup in Lucerne. The Romanians also won the Olympic regatta in Sydney , behind the Dutch women the Canadians won the bronze medal in the line-up Heather McDermid , Heather Davis, Dorota Urbaniak, Theresa Luke , Emma Robinson, Alison Korn, Laryssa Biesenthal, Buffy-Lynne Alexander and Lesley Thompson .
