Gulling (Amstetten)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gulling is a district of Amstetten in Lower Austria .

Gulling is located northeast of Amstetten between the city center and Preinsbach in the east and Eisenreichdornach in the northeast. A geological fault runs through Gulling, where a band of paragneiss comes into contact with the Weinsberg granite. The district developed as early as the 19th century, when commercial enterprises settled north of Reichsstrasse, today's Wiener Strasse , and interest barracks were built. After the Second World War, this new district continued to expand, until Gulling finally came across the Url valley and grew together with the neighboring towns. In the 21st century, Gulling and the southern slope settlement also extend over this terrain level.
