Boxhofen is a hamlet in the cadastral community of Edla in the municipality of Amstetten in Lower Austria.
The hamlet, which consists of several rural properties, is located west of Amstetten on Wiener Straße (B1) . On November 5, 1805, the site was the site of the Battle of Amstetten , where Napoleonic troops encountered Russian infantry and cavalry. The hamlet is also noted in the Franziszeischen Cadastre from 1822.
