The judicial district of Amstetten is a judicial district in Lower Austria . It covers parts of the Amstetten district . The higher court in the second instance is the St. Pölten Regional Court , as well as the Vienna Higher Regional Court and the Vienna Supreme Court .
From January 2014 to August 2017, the judicial districts of Haag and Waidhofen an der Ybbs were incorporated into the judicial district of Amstetten before they were re-established in their original form on September 1, 2017.

history
The judicial district of Amstetten has existed since 1910. On July 1, 2002, the former judicial district of Sankt Peter in der Au was dissolved and the market town of Aschbach-Markt was assigned to the judicial district of Amstetten. On January 1, 2014, the judicial districts of Haag and Waidhofen an der Ybbs were dissolved and the municipalities were assigned to the judicial district of Amstetten.
On September 1, 2017, the judicial districts of Haag and Waidhofen an der Ybbs were re-established in their original form.
