history

The judicial district Allentsteig was created together with the other judicial districts in Lower Austria by a decree of the Lower Austrian regional chief of July 7, 1849. The judicial district initially comprised the 22 communities Allentsteig , Altpölla , Bernschlag , Breitenfeld , Döllersheim , Edelbach , Exenbach , Felsenberg , Franzen , Göpfritz an der Wild , Großhaselbach , Großpoppen , Heinreichs , Kirchberg an der Wild , Merkenbrechts , Neupölla , Niederplöttbach , Scheideldorf , Schlagles , Schwarzenau , Stögersbach and Thaua . In the 1920s, six more parishes emerged in the judicial district. In 1920, the communities of Ramsau, Loibenreith and Tiefenbach were split off from the Alt-Pölla community and the Schönfeld community from the Kirchberg an der Wild community, followed by the creation of the Weinpolz community in 1922 by separating from Scheideldorf, and in 1925 by the creation of the Hausbach municipality by separating from Schwarzenau. The municipality of Thaures, on the other hand, was created before 1910.

Before the judicial district was dissolved, the court district comprised the five municipalities of Allentsteig , Echsenbach , Göpfritz an der Wild , Pölla and Schwarzenau .
